Very popular ice fishing waters for lake trout and whitefish. Most common method is using minnows and jigging artificial lures. Lake trout also taken during open water season usually by the trolling method. Favoured locations are off points and in the Beech river mouth area. Boshkung Lake is located 2 miles north of Carnarvon on Hwy 35. Boat launching sites are located at all tourist lodges.
